Reconnecting Through Touch

There is something quietly profound in the way certain indigenous mothers care for their newborns — gently, intentionally touching every part of their baby’s body in a practice sometimes described as finishing them. In essence, they are awakening and connecting the neural pathways throughout their little ones’ entire being.
Watch a baby just a few months old and you’ll notice it immediately: the body is wonderfully animated, expressive, alive in every limb. Yet as we grow, we are gradually asked to become still. Sit down. Sit quietly. Be good. And slowly, that vibrant aliveness contracts — until, for many of us, a quiet disconnection from our own bodies has taken root.
Reconnecting Through Touch
In Tantric practice, conscious touch serves as a bridge back to ourselves. For any number of reasons — trauma, fear, neglect, or simply the busyness of modern life — we lose the sensory connection between body and mind. We drift away from ourselves without even realizing it.
One of the deepest joys of my work is helping people find their way back. Back to their own aliveness. Back to the rich, sensory experience of simply being in a body — and then discovering how that reconnection , Including finding our voice, helps us become more fully embodied humans.
Simple Practices, Profound Results
Conscious touch, offered in a safe and caring environment, helps us relax, soften, and rediscover our own sensuality and vitality. Over the years I’ve developed playful, accessible practices that invite students to feel more free, more awake, and more at home in their bodies — and it brings me genuine joy to share them.
I hope you enjoy this short video on Simple Tantric Touch, where I walk through some simple self-touch practices you can explore on your own — gently reconnecting the neural pathways to the many sensual, quietly alive places in your body that may surprise you with their tenderness and pleasure.

Many Blessings,
